In case of evacuation due to a hurricane, our route is to proceed South, along A1A, cross the Vilano Bridge, and head west on SR 16 to points West. Now is a good time to be sure that you have some identification that designates you as a homeowner, should you want to return to the neighborhood soon after a storm. The county website has a link to a good state-sponsored planning checklist and other information, including locations of evacuation shelters.
